Hi! My name is Mrs. Davis. I am SO excited to be teaching at Rosehill Elementary this year!  More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your 2nd grade teacher. This will be my seventh year teaching and sixth year teaching 2nd grade. I LOVE 2nd grade! It is going to be a fun year full of LOTS of learning and I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first I am going to tell you a little about me.

I was born in Columbus Ohio, but moved to North Carolina at a young age. After college I moved to Texas and have been here for about seven years now. I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte… Go 49ers!! I majored in Elementary Education and could not wait to start teaching.

I have two dogs that are spoiled rotten. Tara is a Rhodesian Ridge back mix and Sam is a Terrier mix. Sam is the one always getting into trouble and I am sure you will hear many stories about him this year.

Happy Monday May 1st!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Our field day is coming up fast and we still need volunteers, so if you are available and would like to help out let us know.   Also, if you have not done so yet please return the field day form including if your child needs a sack lunch on field day.

Today your child will be coming home with an animal habitat project. This will be due on Friday, May 12th. The student needs to use the animal they researched in class. Due to this project there will be no Math homework this week.

Next Monday and Tuesday 3rd and 4th grade will be having STAAR testing. Due to the testing, the campus will be closed to visitors.

Please let me know if you have a career that you would like to share with the 2nd graders on career day.

Thank you for all your support this year and have a great week!

 - Please be sure to wear comfortable closed-toe shoes with their blue cougar dash t-shirt. They will not be able to participate if they do not wear closed-toe shoes.

 - Please pack your child's lunch in a disposable bag (brown bag or grocery bag will work).

 - Please be sure that your child is on time tomorrow morning so that buses can depart promptly at 9:00.

- Lastly, if you'd like your child to wear sunscreen, please be sure to apply this at home before school.

 Thank you so much!
