What is PTO?

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a collective effort of parents and teachers/staff in making Rosehill a wonderful place for your kids. Rosehill has selected a PTO format rather than the better known PTA to ensure that 100% of the budget is used to benefit the school and its students.

As a member of the PTO you are entitled to vote for the executive board of the PTO for the following year.

PTO contributes all monies raised directly to Rosehill Elementary. This year we will help fulfill the staff wish list (such as books, print cartridges for classrooms, and more), pay for Cultural Arts Programs and Field Days, purchase additional educational materials, and much more!

Rosehill has a very active parent population. There are many opportunities to get involved through PTO sponsored activities or by fulfilling various school volunteer needs.

The PTO is managed by a Board made up of several parents, each with responsibility for a specific aspect of supporting the school. The board is approved in the spring for the following year by families who are PTO members.

The Board meets on the first Thursday of each month. Please watch the newlsetter for specific time and dates. The principal attends the Board meeting and is an integral part of our team as well as our advisor. We discuss progress within the various activities and make recommendations for future direction.
