About the Teacher

Hello parents and students! My name is Lindsay Reed. This will be my 13th year in my teaching profession, as well as, my fifth year at Rosehill Elementary. I have been living in Tomball for the past 9 years and I love working in the same district where I live and being part of such a close-knit community.

I have a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Lubbock Christian University and a Master's degree from Sam Houston State University.

I was married in 2008 and moved to the Tomball area. My husband and his parents are both Tomball alumni and always spoken highly about the school district. My husband and I have 2 beautiful sons. My oldest is 6  and attends 1st grade here at Rosehill. My youngest son just turned 3.
I love being outside, working on our home, traveling, reading, and spending time with my family.

I have taught several different grades, but I am in love with 2nd grade. I look forward to coming to school every day and am excited about the upcoming school year!

Awards Ceremony

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that we have our awards assembly tomorrow morning at 9:30. This is our final one for the year, so I hope you are all able to make it.

Tomorrow

Hello, parents! Just a reminder that our class party is tomorrow at 2:30. If you have not done so, then please send it your $3.00 so Mrs. Clark can cover the expenses of the food.

Also, your child can bring a board game tomorrow.

Reminders

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. I just wanted to send out a few reminders for the end of the school year.

First of all, please send in donations for our end of the year school party. Our homeroom mom is requesting $3.00 to cover the cost of the food for the kids. If you've already done so, then thank you so much!

Second of all, we will be finishing up our backgrounds for our plays tomorrow, so the kids are able to bring some craft supplies, such as: pipe cleaners, sequins, feathers, anything you have around the house to help create their background scene for their plays.

I will be sending out other announcements this week, so please be on the lookout for them.

Materials

Hello, parents! We are doing our project on Friday and I am still needing some materials. Our class still needs the following supplies:

1 box of goldfish
1 box of Nilla Wafers
1 package of Hershey's kisses

If you are able to send one of these items our class would greatly appreciate it!

Field Day

Hello, parents! Just a reminder that this Friday is our Field Day. Please have your child wear their class shirt with shorts and comfortable tennis shoes. The high on Friday is 94 degrees, so I would recommend putting sunscreen on your child before they come to school. Also, please send your child to school with a sack lunch. If you have any questions, please contact me!

Review

Hello, parents! I am sending home a review with your child today. This review will be for our math test that we are taking on Monday, which covers money. Please work on the review with your child and ask any questions if needed!

We are looking forward to our fun-filled Friday, where we will have our career day and field trip. Have a great week!

Fridays

Hi parents,

Here is a bit of information about the next two Fridays:

Our On-Campus Field Trip will be on May 11th. TGR Exotics Park will be coming to our school for the kids to learn and interact with different animals. We will be rotating around the school for these animal presentations and will come together as a grade level for an outdoor picnic lunch. As usual, your child can bring his/her lunch or purchase a lunch from the cafeteria. We encourage each child to wear his/her class t-shirt and to bring a beach towel to sit on while eating outside. If you have any questions , please feel free to contact me.

Our annual Rosehill Field Day will be on May 18th. Students are asked to wear their class shirts again along with comfortable shoes and shorts/pants. We will be having another picnic lunch that day. If you have not returned the yellow information sheet about your child's lunch, please do so as soon as possible so the cafeteria can prepare accordingly. Lastly, if you are interested in volunteering for this day, please use this link to sign up:  https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/2319401/false#/invitation

We're looking forward to some fun activities this month! Thanks for your support and have a great weekend!

Forms

Hello, parents! If you have any field day forms that you have not submitted please do so as soon as possible. We need to know which students will be purchasing a sack lunch from the cafeteria. They need this count soon so we can submit it to the cafeteria.

Also, an order form was sent home for our school supplies for next year. Rosehill will not be ordering any extra supply boxes this year, so if you are wanting to purchase the premade set from the school please make sure to send your order form back into me as soon as you can.

Thanks! Have a great weekend!
