They do not need to be addressed to each student, sometimes it is easier to just sign who it is from ;) If you cannot get valentines for your child please let me know.
Students will not need to bring a box or bag, as decorating it will be part of our party this year- so no at home project this year (Thanks Mrs. Slaughter)!
Hope to see many of you at the party!

Homework Update

3rd grade Second Semester Homework Guidelines

Dear Parents,

We are trying something new with how we assign homework. Starting this semester, students will NOT be required to turn in weekly homework. We will continue to send weekly practice home on Fridays but it will NOT be required to be turned in.  They will still have a spelling test and fact quiz on Fridays but will have opportunities during class to study during the week. From time to time there will be required assignments sent home for your child to complete, such as test reviews and special projects.

We are doing this to encourage quality family time at home. We hope you and your child take this opportunity to enjoy reading as a family and encourage a love of reading.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Gordon

Welcome to 2018!

Welcome back to a fabulous school year! I am eager to get things off and running this semester. We have lots to cover still, but I am confident that this group of kiddos are ready to work hard to make great success this spring.
This week we will be checking out books from the library on Friday.
There is NO HOMEWORK this week. Reading daily is always encouraged though ;)
There is NO SCHOOL next Monday (1/15) in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King jr.

Shirt order

If you are wanting to order a shirt for the Tomball reads on book program, here is the link. We will be doing this in the spring, like we did for the Lemonade War last year :)

Don’t forget to order your Ivan t-shirt by tomorrow!

Please visit the website link to place your order.   Shirts will be delivered to the school.

Spelling Homework

Since there is no spelling test this Friday 12/22 there is no spelling homework this week. Please make sure your child has their 100 minutes complete for their reading log, math homework, and the fact quiz completed on Friday.
Thank you!

Winter Party

Don't forget our winter party will be Friday 12/22 at 11:30. We will be serving pizza, so no need to send you child with a lunch if they want to eat pizza at the party :)
